Mold Funnels

Use

Mold funnel is mounted into the injection molding machine under the mold area,
where it catches the ejected injection molded plastic product and directs it
softly and without damage into the designated area under the machine
(into the collection box or onto the conveyor belt)

Construction

This funnels for ejected products consist of
light but strong rounded black aluminum frame.
In order to make the frame sturdy we are using
laser cut and machine bend corner inserts.
Each corner receives 2 corner inserts in order
to make the frame very strong.

Easy magnet attachment

On the frame the very strong rare-earth magnets
are mounted. Using the magnets this funnels are mounted
onto the injection machine frame.

The frame enables the adjustment of the magnet position,
in order to fit to the machine frame.

Multi layer fabric

Fabric is the most important part of the injection molding funnel,
as it has to withstand the collision force of thousands of
(glass fiber reinforced, sharply edged)
plastic parts which may fall always on the very same spot.

Due to use of the special multi layer fabric material,
we are able to have smooth upper surface where products
slide nicely without the possibility of sticking into the fabric
(for example with sprue parts)

The under layer are thicker and stronger and carry the collision force.
The are responsible for long lasting use of the fabric without damages.

Dimensioning

We have prepared some standard sizes of the funnels, which fit to the
common injection machine frame sizes.
But as each machine is different and because your application may need different
size, we are open to listen to your needs regarding the sizing of the funnels.
